Coyote Ridge Elementary

Hello!  My name is Jean Powell.  I have been a teacher for over 30 years and I love teaching children!

 I am a native of Wisconsin, and the third oldest of nine children.   My favorite football team is the Broncos followed closely by the Packers.

 I live in the area with my husband and we have two grown children.  I enjoy boating with my family, walking our dogs,  biking, and spending time with my friends. 

Since moving to Colorado in 1981, I have been employed with Adams 12 Five Star Schools.  My teaching experience includes teaching 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, as well as middle school.  I was also a math specialist K-6 for three years.

In 1999, I helped to open Coyote Ridge Elementary School.  There have been many positive changes since our doors first opened, and I am proud to be a staff member here. 

I'm looking forward to a great year with your second grader, our fantastic second grade teachers, and our wonderful, caring staff.
