Values Statement

We are committed to aligning our curriculum and instruction to support the state and district standards through collaboration and collegial relationships. Through
grade level and vertical teams, we will provide numerous opportunities for students to be successful emotionally, academically, and socially. The academic progress of each child will be closely monitored, and support will be provided for those needing additional assistance. A variety of instructional strategies will support individual learning styles.

We are committed to shared and effective leadership. All staff will be involved in promoting the mission and vision of our school and focusing on the established
priorities set forth in our School Accountability Plan. Staff will participate in decision-making processes and facilitate positive relationships between community members, parents, staff, and students.

Each staff member will exemplify dedication and commitment to collaboration, model life-long learning, have high expectations for each student's achievement and accept responsibility for assisting each student in reaching established goals. All staff will demonstrate a commitment to shared goals and a common mission.

The school climate will be orderly, inviting, and conducive to learning. We will ensure an optimal learning environment through: mutual respect and consideration for ideas, a commitment to providing an emotionally and physically safe learning environment, clear expectations for behavior, mutually agreed upon norms, and a conscious effort to recognize and celebrate the efforts and achievements of students and staff.

Our school will work proactively with the community and families. We will encourage parental involvement in the education of children, establish clear modes of communication, and support community use of our facilities and activities on behalf of our students.

Students will accept responsibility for their learning, decisions, and actions. They will set challenging goals and give their best efforts to reach their full potential. Students will be actively involved in co-curricular activities and demonstrate a continued desire to give back to their school and community. They will adhere to the established behavioral expectations and continually celebrate their accomplishments with their school, family and community.

We believe in clear goals for accomplishment and in an established list of characteristics of the school we hope to become. We stand for high standards, 95% proficiency, and putting an end to illiteracy. We are a team, which utilizes research as well as best practices. We believe in technology, physical wellness, art, and music as an integral part of the whole child learning experience. We are committed to the expectations of students, staff, and community to transform ideas into reality, and have never met a challenge we were not ready to tackle. We believe collaboratively, we can take responsibility for the success of all of our students and education is not an option, it is a necessity. We are Coyote Ridge Elementary and we stand for academic and social achievement. May we strive to achieve and maintain our vision standards and thrive.
