Coyote Ridge Elementary

I look forward to an exciting year at Coyote Ridge. I have taught fourth and fifth grade in the Cherry Creek School District for six years and one year up in the mountains at Edwards Elementary. As a reading specialist with a Masters’ Degree in Reading and Literacy Education from the University of Colorado, I strive to individualize my instruction for each child. Teaching children is my passion!

     I remember when I was a little girl; I would line up my stuffed animals and dolls, and play ‘school’.  During those countless hours I would emulate teachers from my elementary school, draw with white crayons on my black construction paper ‘chalkboard’, and fill in worksheets with the wrong answers just so I got the chance to use my big red pen with the sparkles in it to grade my student’s work.  As the years went on, I volunteered in many classrooms and worked with kids through volunteer programs like Big Brother Big Sister. 

Welcome to Third Grade at Coyote Ridge Elementary School!  This year promises to be an exciting and productive time for all of us.  Third Grade is an adventure that we are sure your child will enjoy.  We will work closely together and strive to provide a variety of opportunities that will enrich learning for your child.
