Welcome to the fourth grade! I'm looking forward to an exciting new school year with you! Our educational adventure will include many familiar subjects: Everyday Math, Rigby, Reading groups and Writer's Workshop. There will also be some new learnings: genre of the month studies, solar system, water, landforms, Colorado wildlife, flight, and Colorado history.
Each week you will receive a Thursday folder with a summary of any missing assignments, as well as an update on the traits of behavior expected in fourth grade. This form of communication is very important and must be read, signed and returned each week. There is a place on it to share any questions or concerns you may have as well. There will also be a monthly progress report for grades. I welcome any other forms of communication you may need.
Hello! My name is Karen Robinson. I have been a teacher for 13 years and my passion is teaching children!
I am a native of Ohio, and a huge Buckeye fan! I recently moved to Colorado from Iowa. I am excited about being able to work in my neighborhood school. I have been married to my husband for 30 years and have five grown children. Being a parent has inspired me to be a much more compassionate and caring teacher!
I have my elementary teaching degree as well as an endorsement in Early Childhood Education and Reading. I have my Masters in Education and Reading. My teaching experience includes teaching Kindergarden, 1st, 4th and 5th grade, as well as college level.
