Ms. Murphy's Class

General Education

Welcome to Remote Learning with Mrs. Murphy!

Welcome to fourth grade! I'm so excited for us to learn and grow together - academically, socially and emotionally. We will experience various genres of literature, expanding our knowledge and experiences. In writing, we will compose in multiple forms, utilizing imaginations and creatitivity. We will stretch our brains in math, as we manipulate using math concepts and discuss deeply the "how and why" behind the problems. Do you like to explore and experiment? In science, we will be studying the Earth and all its living creatures. Our social studies focus will be Colorado. Many of you have lived here longer than I have, so I'm ready for you to teach me some new facts! Throughout the year, we will support each other in a safe and positive classroom where everyone is expected to participate and strive to do their best.

Please know that being unsure is okay - we are all learning together in these unprecidented times. Don't hesitate to ask for help when you need it. There are a lot of us thinking through the same things, and together we'll do our best to make learning at home a smooth, engaging, and purposeful experience.

Please check back often for updates.

Welcome students and families! Please see the links below for more information about our daily schedule and help accessing our learning management system (Schoology).  Please know that I am here to support you and your child as we navigate this new way of learning together. With some flexibility and a bit of grace for one another, we will make this an amazing year!
