4th Grade

General Education

Fourth graders at Coyote Ridge will grow academically and emotionally by working hard to meet and exceed expectations. Throughout the year, we focus on developing independent learners who assume responsibility and contribute to class activities and discussions, complete assignments on time, and come to class prepared with the proper materials. Students will use organizational skills, effective study strategies, cooperative learning, and problem solving as they become life long learners. We strive to help students become the best individuals that they can be! Our fourth grade website was created as a reference tool for students and parents to stay updated with the most current information. Many different tools can be found to help each fourth grader be a successful learner! Check back periodically for updates. Learning is a partnership between the teacher, student, and parent. Working as a team, we ensure your child will have a successful year!

Remote Learning

Log in  to remote learing here:    enter username: (lunch number) and passwordThis will take you to a page where you can access all apps needed (Google Classroom, Gmail, EDM 4 math, etc).

As we move to remote learning, we realize that school will look and feel differently than our classrooms. We know that families have varied access to technology, Wi-Fi, reading materials and additional resources for remote learning and we will do our best to ensure easy access to materials needed. Each week, the fourth grade team will post the week's learning board into Google Classrooms which will include the lessons and assignments that are due each week. Please know that remote learning is a fraction of the instruction we would normally see throughout a week of traditional learning. The district expectation is that 4th grade students spend at least 60 minutes learning at home each day. This approach will allow your child to work at their own pace and complete the work during a window of opportunity before it will be graded.

Office Hours:

We will have set office hours beginning on Wednesday, April 1st. During this time, we will be available to quickly respond to emails, answer questions, and have video chats with students. We are setting aside dedicated office hours so that we can be most available and responsive to our students and families during that set time. Each teacher will post their availability on their own personal classroom webpage for you to check weekly.

Attendance will be taken every Friday. Attendance will be determined based on the amount of content your child completes on a weekly basis.

The 4th grade team will work together to determine grades assigned to weekly work. This may be in the form of  scores from Google Classroom, videos, quizzes, and work completion. These scores will be recorded just as normal grades have been recorded throughout this year.
