February News

As we transition back to in-person learning again,  students reviewed saftey protocols and positive behavior expecations for physical education.  Students have begun to focus in on using their dodging, chasing and fleeing skills as well as throwing and catching.  In grades 3-5  we included work on assessing our cardio-respiratory fitness using the (modified for COVID) Pacer Test.  In true Colorado style,  late January and early Febraury have provided us with a range of weather and temperatures ranging from the sixties to the teens.  We will continue to spend a portion of our activity time outside (weather permitting). Students have been coming prepared for P.E. with a water bottle, dressed in layers and, wearing appropriate footwear.

February is heart month, and we will be kicking off the Virtual Kids Heart Challenge on February 17th! Students will have an opportunity to engage in virtual adventures, learn more about their heart, and help raise money for a good cause!

Dear Parents & Guardians,

We would greatly appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete the Panorama family survey. The link can be found here:

As of today, we are in second place in terms of the response rate when compared to all the elementary schools in Adams12. We have had the highest rate of response for the past two years, and we would love to have that honor once again. Your feedback is invaluable as we strive to continually improve. Thanks in advance for your time and input!

In good health,

Coach Sean
