Music

Music at Coyote Ridge is “hands-on”, child-centered and interactive. We sing, play instruments, dance, move creatively, and even act! Our National and Adams 12 School District Elementary Music Curriculum is based on the following:

Expression - Performing music
Creation - Creating/composing music
Theory - Knowledge of rhythms and pitches
Aesthetic Valuation - Evaluate music

Choir

Coyote Ridge Elementary Choir consists of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. More information to come.

There are so many exciting activities happening in the music classroom for November! Fifth grade will begin reviewing and learning new songs on ukuleles, fourth grade has their "In the Attic" performance on Nov 21 at 8am in the cafeteria, and third grade is using "Stick Stations" that are similar to a drum set. Kindergarten, first and second grades will engage in fun Thanksgiving music activities.

Don't forget to save the evening of Dec 6 for the Broomfield Tree-Lighting Ceremony! The CRE choir will perform, time TBD. See you there!
