Mwebaza Club

Coyote Ridge and St. Paul Primary School formed a partnership in 2009.  Since then the two schools have enjoyed a cross cultural exchange via pen pal letters, photos and videos.  Coyote Ridge has participated in fundraising events to promote quality education at St. Paul. Both school communities have enjoyed this unique opportunity to learn and gain understanding about their friends across the globe.

A leadership opportunity exists for students in Kinder - 5th grades who would like to participate in planning, organizing and leading our sister school activities and projects this year. Our focus is on cross-cultural exchange between the two schools, service learning projects and current global issues.

Projects could include:

• Creating conversation, ideas and questions to exchange with our friends in Uganda

• Live, video conferences with St. Paul students to share and learn about current issues and events in both countries.                                                                                                                                                     

• Creating video and slide presentations to share with our classrooms

• Planning and advertising special events, such as the Festival of Nations, the Student Art Sale, restaurant nights, a movie night and spirit days.

• Planning pen pal exchanges

• Planning and creating a school display about our partnership.

• Global issues affecting our communities.
