Dear Parents and Guardians -
As I am sure you are aware, parent/teacher conferences are just around the corner. Conferences are an important time during the school year when teachers can review student progress and set academic goals for students for the remainder of the year. Having recently completed MAPS and PALS assessments for literacy and math at every grade level, teachers have strong indicators of student growth and achievement.
Our goal with conferences is to have 100% parent participation. At Coyote Ridge Elementary we value parental involvement in the academic and social and emotional development of our students. The best outcomes for students can only be achieved when teachers and parents work together.
We also value our parent volunteers who give of their time to work with students throughout the school day. Our volunteers are a huge help to teachers and staff and are always willing to come and help out when needed.
The month of February marks the opportunity for parents to provide feedback to schools. The annual district survey will be sent out to parents within the next few weeks. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you in advance for taking the time to let us know what is going well and also providing us with constructive feedback.
It has been a very productive and successful school year to date. Looking forward, we will be conducting the state CMAS assessments in March for students in Grades 3-5 and supporting students in cooperative learning processes in every classroom at every grade level as we have since the start of the year.
