Dear Parents and Guardians -

A key tenet of our mission statement revolves around collaboration between staff members and collaboration with the parents of our students. In Adams 12, we are fortunate to have early release Wednesdays as well as professional development days during the school year. During these sessions, we make a concerted effort to set aside time for teachers to collaborate with one another in grade level teams and when possible in vertical teams. Long gone are the days where teachers work in isolation. We understand how valuable it is for teachers to learn from one another, to share ideas, and to ask for support and guidance to improve as educators.

As the building principal, and as an instructional leader, I value the time spent with teachers observing the planning process and seeing firsthand the reflection that takes place in order for teachers to meet the needs of all of their students.

At Coyote Ridge Elementary, we have an amazing group of talented educators who value the collaborative process. We also have engaged parents who support teachers in their efforts as we work together to ensure all students progress at a rate commensurate with their abilities.

On a separate but related note, thanks in advance to parents and students of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students for supporting our upcoming state assessments. Please make sure you note the assessment days and have your child at school rested and ready to go so they can demonstrate all they have learned. We are excited to be able to measure and celebrate student achievement and growth.
