Dear Parents and Guardians -

We had a pleasant surprise upon returning from the holiday break when we received the John Irwin Schools of Excellence Award for our performance on the 2018 state assessments. Coyote Ridge Elementary was one of five schools in the Adams 12 School District and only one of 185 schools in the state to receive this award. According to the Colorado Department of Education: The John Irwin awards are given to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement over time. These schools received an Exceeds Expectations rating on the Academic Achievement indicator of the School Performance Frameworks reflecting exceptional performance in Math, English Language Arts, and Science.

We are proud at Coyote Ridge Elementary to have received the John Irwin Award for the past three years. This award is a testament to the hard work that takes place every day at every grade level at our school in support of our district goals focused on student achievement, positive culture and climate, and the social and emotional well being of our students. Our success can also be attributed to the positive relationships we have with the parents of our students as we work together to support every child.

Congratulations to our amazing school community!
