October Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians -

Cooler weather and the leaves turning orange, yellow and red, are reminders that the season is changing. Fall typically is a time for reflection and renewal and this year the need for reflection seems to be especially important.

Children and adults alike have had to adjust to a new way of living and interacting with others. Having students back in school has been wonderful and a reminder of the fact that children in general adapt to change much better than adults. The safeguards we put in place to maintain a positive and productive learning environment have been embraced by our students. They rarely need reminders about masks or washing their hands. They might need some more reminders about social distancing as kids just tend to gravitate towards one another, but they readily comply when it is brought to their attention.

As we continue with in-person and remote learning, there will be new challenges that arise. We have commented many times that this will be a school year that will be remembered for years to come. That being said, I do feel that dealing with the pandemic has made all of us a little more patient and a little more flexible. We also are embracing change and working through challenges while staying focused on best serving the needs of our students.

It will be interesting to look back and think about the positive outcomes that resulted from this challenging time. Thanks for your support and encouragement and for acknowledging the amazing staff at our school who work so hard every day. We appreciate each and every one of you and are so grateful for the trust you show us to educate your child.

In partnership,

Dr. Mike
