CRE Weekly Newletter Sept.26

Dear Coyote Ridge Community,

It’s been a great week at CRE!

Broomfield Days

Thank you to all of our community members who made it out to the Broomfield Days parade last Saturday. It was a big success and such a wonderful way to celebrate our culture of community. Big thanks to our PTO for organizing our participation in the event, we could not have done it without you!

Discovery Den/Makerspace

This school year, we are so lucky to have Ms. Shannon in the Discovery Den full time! Having a staff member who is able to dedicate her time and creativity to creating engaging and authentic exploration activities for our students has been incredible. We look forward to continuing to grow our capacity to support students' creativity and critical thinking in this space for years to come!

King Soopers

One of the easiest ways to support Coyote Ridge is by linking your King Soopers card to Coyote Ridge. Sign up for King Soopers Rewards and earn money for CRE every time you shop! (Organization Name: “Coyote Ridge Elementary School PTO” / Organization Number: DE257)

PD Day on Monday

As a reminder Monday is a professional learning day for our staff. We are so lucky to have a full time instructional coach and a full time social emotional learning specialist to support and guide our professional learning at Coyote Ridge. Below are a few photos from our last PD day where Ms. Dutro modeled a way to infuse Depth and Complexity icons into a Building Thinking Classrooms lesson for teachers. It was so wonderful to be able to see this innovative practice in action throughout the school after our professional learning. We are so lucky to have such wonderful teachers who are always looking to learn a new way to engage and motivate their students.

Monday is also when our Coyotes will compete in the Cross Country races at Margaret W. Carpenter Open Space beginning at noon. We’d love to see you there as we cheer on our Coyotes!

Have a great weekend!

Carolyn Webb, Coyote Ridge Principal
