CRE Weekly Newsletter

Dear Coyote Ridge Community -

It’s been another exciting week at CRE!

Clubs

One of our most popular student led clubs- the ASL club- is back in session and I hear that they will have a surprise performance for us at the Broomfield Tree lighting this year. Stay tuned for more details.

The Newspaper Club started this week as well, which is a new club offering for this school year. I am very excited to see the first draft of the CRE newspaper, stay tuned for a copy.

Coyote Cart

Today was our first Friday that all of our students were able to shop at the Coyote Cart. Our Coyote Cart is an important part of our PBIS program (positive behavioral interventions and supports). Students have the opportunity to earn Coyote Cash for showcasing our PACK traits (perseverance, accountability, courage and kindness) all throughout the school. Once a month, students can spend their Coyote Cash at the Coyote Cart, it is such an exciting day each month!

Fall conferences

Today at 3pm your child's classroom teacher will be sending out a link for you to sign up for a conference time in October. We will no longer be offering virtual conferences and would really like for families to come to Coyote Ridge, if that is something that you are able to do. If there is an extenuating circumstance, please let me know and we can work together to figure out the best way for you to receive all of this very important information from your child's teacher.

Broomfield Days Parade

We are one week away from the Broomfield Days parade! This year, we will be increasing our presence at the parade to showcase to all of Broomfield how incredible the CRE community is! If you are able to join us, please arrive at 8:15 am on Saturday, September 21st to join our lineup. Please also see the PTO communication from this week for ways to get involved.

Lockdown Drill

We will have our first lockdown drill of the school year next Friday, September 20th. Here is more information: Adams 12 Safety Drills. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Chick-fil-A night

Thank you to all of our families who attend our first dine out event of the school year. We had 104 students and their families represented at Chick-fil-a. Ms. Lussier’s first grade class had the most attendees and won a nugget party here at school! Not only is this a great way to raise money for Coyote Ridge, but these events build community and save you from having to worry about what you are making for dinner that night!

I will close this week with a cute picture of some of our kindergarten and first graders on a nature walk at our school, examining our flower and vegetable garden. When the weather permits, we strive to get students outside to learn as we value exploration as such an important aspect of learning.

In Gratitude,

Carolyn Webb, Coyote Ridge Principal
