CRE Weekly Newsletter 11/1
Post
Dear Coyote Ridge Community,
Happy Halloween!
It has been an exciting week at Coyote Ridge! The students looked so great in the parade this morning. Thank you to those of you who were here to cheer them on. Just in case you missed it, here is our CRE staff Halloween photo: Cruella and her Dalmatians!
Falloween was a blast!
I want to begin by thanking our wonderful PTO and all of the community members and CRE staff who volunteered at Falloween. Whether you decorated your car for trunk or treat, read stories in the library or were one of the many people who made this fantastic event possible, we appreciate you! It was quite possibly the best Falloween yet!
Students of the Month- Accountability
For the month of October, teachers were tasked with identifying students who have done an exceptional job of showing accountability throughout the month. Students who were recognized by their teachers were announced on the morning announcements (along with a picture) and presented with a certificate. Congratulations to these hard working students!!
Golden Paw
One of the wonderful ways that the PTO supports our staff at CRE is by funding 2 monthly amazon gift cards to staff members who have shown exceptional commitment for that month. All CRE staff members have an opportunity to nominate fellow colleagues and PTO selects two winners each month. I neglected to include our winners from September. Katie Dutro (our instructional coach) and Kristin Severin (SSN para) were selected by their colleagues in September, congrats! Our October winners will be announced next week.
Parent/Principal Connect
If you are able, please join me and our PTO for our November Parent/Principal Connect meeting on Tuesday, November 5th @ 8am in the CRE cafeteria. I have invited a representative from Eco- Cycle to come and provide more information to the community about our current work to become the first Eco-Cycle Green Star School in Adams 12. This meeting will also be live streamed and recorded.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Many of our classrooms participated in our book character pumpkin contest. Students had an opportunity to vote on their favorite pumpkin and the submissions were really great! First place went to Ms. Toyama’s class and their Pineapple Pumpkin. Second place went to Mrs. Kundrat’s class and their Taylor Swift Pumpkin.
As a reminder, tomorrow (Friday, November 1st) is a teacher work day.
We will see you on Monday!
In partnership,
Carolyn Webb
Coyote Ridge Principal
*Arrival and Dismissal reminder: the back parking lot is designated for our buses and parents of students who have been notified by the school to pick up their children there. When we have cars using that lot to turn around or pick up students, it becomes unsafe. Thank you for your cooperation and adherence.
