CRE Weekly Newsletter April 25

Dear Coyote Ridge Community,

It’s been a great week at CRE!

Welcoming new kindergarten families

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to welcome our new kindergarten students to Coyote Ridge. It was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to also have the opportunity to welcome new families to our community. If you missed the event and have an incoming kindergartener, please contact Ms. Christi in the office and she can get you a copy of our presentation and some important information that we shared. Welcome new Coyotes!

Depth and Complexity

It’s been so exciting to see our new Depth and Complexity framework being implemented all over the school. Students are beginning to become familiar with the icons and teachers are enjoying testing out the framework before we fully implement it in the fall. I even caught Coach finding creative ways to implement the icons into PE!

Social Emotional Learning

Ms. Young (our Social Emotional Learning Specialist) and Ms. P (our School Social Worker) have been out and about in the building teaching lessons in classrooms. I am so thankful that our mental health team prioritizes empowering and building relationships with our students each day. Thanks, Ms. Young + Ms. P!

The Coyote Times

Head over to our school website and check out our seven editions of The Coyote Times (our school newspaper) that have been published this school year. To access the full edition, click on the picture or link. We are so proud of our Coyotes and the success of our first year of having a school newspaper.

We hope to see you in May!

May is a busy month at Coyote Ridge. From our 5th grade musical (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory), to the spring carnival, staff appreciation week “Chalk the Walk”, our last parent/principal connect meeting of the school year, Lions Club relay, field day, end of year picnic and 5th grade continuation, there will be a lot going on here at school. Check our calendar on our school website to ensure that you don’t miss out. We hope to catch you at an upcoming event to celebrate the end to another great school year at CRE.

In partnership,

Carolyn Webb, Coyote Ridge Principal
