CRE Weekly Newsletter April 3

Dear Coyote Ridge Community,

It’s been a great week to be a Coyote!

2026- 2027 Staffing Update

We are still in the process of finalizing staffing for the 2026- 27 school year. I will communicate updates when everything is confirmed. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this important process with fidelity. We are currently in the process of interviewing and hiring for two positions over the coming weeks and should be able to share staffing changes when those have been finalized. Detailed staffing and budgetary information will be shared with the CRE School Accountability Committee on May 6th and then with the community at the Parent/Principal connect meeting on May 12th- hope to see you there!

Boosterthon, thank you!

We are incredibly grateful to our amazing community for helping us raise over $45,000! Because of your generosity, we are able to fund our band program for next school year and dedicate a portion of the proceeds toward maintaining a full-time staff member in our makerspace. Your support continues to make a meaningful impact on opportunities for our students, we appreciate you!!

It was a hot day for the Boosterthon, but it was incredible to see our students out there running and giving their all! Thank you to all of our parent and Legacy volunteers and our fabulous PTO for the incredible organization of this event and everything that goes into making it such a success.

CMAS

CMAS begins next week! Please help ensure that your 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are well-rested and arrive at school on time over the next two weeks (three for 5th). We appreciate your partnership in supporting consistent attendance and avoiding scheduling appointments and vacations during this important testing window.

Mother Duck is back

For the second year in a row, our mother duck has returned and laid her eggs on the kindergarten playground, the exact same week as last year! We appreciate your help in staying off the kinder playground to ensure the safety of her eggs. Our kindergarteners are seeing this as a bit of an upgrade, as they get to join their 3rd grade peer mentors on the big playground for morning recess. Last year, the ducklings hatched very close to the last day of school, so we’re hopeful for a similar timeline this year!

Student of the Month

This March, we proudly celebrated our Students of the Month for showcasing extraordinary creativity in their learning and contributions to our school community. These students stood out for their imaginative thinking, willingness to take risks, and ability to approach challenges with originality and curiosity. Whether through artistic expression, innovative problem-solving, or bringing fresh ideas into the classroom, they inspired both their peers and teachers.

Golden Paw Winners

Congratulations to Sean Seifarth and Katie Dutro Trigero, our March Golden Paw winners! Sean shines in his role as our PE teacher and running coach, bringing energy and enthusiasm to our students each day. Katie supports all aspects of our school as our full-time instructional coach, we are so lucky to have her on our team.

Horizon High Guests

We loved welcoming students from Horizon High School, who visited our 3rd graders to teach important fire safety lessons as part of their SOAR projects. It was wonderful to have them on campus, and our students learned so much from their engaging and thoughtful presentations. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with them and appreciate the time and care they put into supporting our students.

Honor Choir

Congrats to our 2026 Honor Choir students! These students auditioned for and were accepted into the Adams 12 Honor choir, we are so proud to have them represent CRE!

Keyboarding Performances in Music

This week, all students culminated their keyboarding unit by performing for their peers. I was so impressed with the courage and peer encouragement students demonstrated while performing, not to mention the incredible skills they gained along the way!

Have a wonderful weekend!

In partnership,

Carolyn Webb, Coyote Ridge Principal
