CRE Weekly Newsletter May 8

Dear Coyote Ridge Community,

It’s been a great week to be a Coyote!

We are so excited to see you at the Spring Carnival TONIGHT from 6-8pm!

Please DO NOT park in the hug and go lane directly in front of the school, this lane is reserved for emergency vehicles and any of our families who may need support getting into the building before going to park. As with any full community event, parking will be limited. Be sure to be mindful and thoughtful about where you park within the Broadlands neighborhood. We are lucky to have a great relationship with our neighbors and thank you for helping us to maintain that.

Teacher Appreciation Week

A huge thank you to our incredible community and PTO for making Teacher Appreciation Week so special! From delicious breakfasts and catered lunches to today’s amazing gift card garden and beautiful bouquets for every staff member, every thoughtful gesture made our staff feel truly celebrated and appreciated. The week has been absolutely delightful, and we are so grateful for the love and support you continue to show our teachers and staff each day!

April Golden Paw Winners

Congratulations to our Golden Paw winners, Ms. Susie, our incredible SSN para, and Ms. Sue, our amazing health aide! Both of these staff members go above and beyond every single day to support our students, staff, and families with compassion, positivity, and care. We are so grateful for the countless ways they make Coyote Ridge a better place for everyone!

Lion’s Club Relay

A huge shout out to Coach Seifarth and his incredible team of support staff for leading our Coyotes at the annual Lions Club Relay Race! Our students represented Coyote Ridge with determination, teamwork, and school pride, and we are excited to have some new trophies to proudly display in our case. We could not be prouder of our Coyotes and the way they showed up and competed!

Chromebooks

As you may know, we are currently taking steps to significantly reduce the amount of Chromebook time students will have next school year as part of a broader shift in practice and priorities around student learning. One important change families should be aware of is that Chromebooks will not be going home over the summer, and beginning next school year, Chromebooks will also no longer be sent home during the school year. Teachers will not provide homework that requires a chromebook to complete. We are excited about the increased opportunities this shift will create for hands-on learning, collaboration, creativity, and meaningful in-person engagement throughout the school day.

Parent Principal Connect, Tuesday 5/12 @ 8am

I hope to see you at our final Parent Principal Connect meeting of the 2025–2026 school year. This is an especially important meeting as our PTO will be sharing their proposed budget for the 2026–2027 school year, along with voting in new PTO leadership positions. I will also be sharing important updates related to our 2026–2027 school budget and staffing plans. We value your partnership and hope you can join us for these important conversations as we plan for another great year at Coyote Ridge.

Last Week Activities

We are structuring our annual Field Day a bit differently this school year, please see the grade levels and times below. Additionally, for field day you do not need to come to the main entrance, simply come back around the field and enjoy the event with your child.

8:20- 11:20- 2nd- 5th grades

11:55- 1:35- Kinder + 1st grade

We will also co-host with PTO our annual Last Day Picnic beginning on the back field at 10am- same drill for parent arrival as Field Day. You are more than welcome to begin your summer break with your child once the picnic commences after lunch, just be sure to sign your child out with the classroom teacher.

Happy Mother’s Day!

In partnership,

Carolyn Webb, Coyote Ridge Principal
