CRE Weekly Newsletter Oct. 4
Post
Dear Coyote Ridge Community,
We had a short but wonderful week at CRE! Tomorrow, Friday October 4th, is a teacher professional development day and a day off for students. We will see you on Monday!
Student of the Month (Perseverance)
We announced our first round of Student of the Month winners for the school year this week. Teachers selected students who displayed an exemplary amount of perseverance throughout the month of September. These students were recognized on the morning announcements this week and will be coming home with a personalized certificate. I love that we start the school year thinking more deeply about perseverance, as so many of our students display an extraordinary amount in so many ways throughout the school day. As elementary educators, we very strongly believe that instilling perseverance in our youngest learners will set them up for a successful future. Check out the students who were recognized below!
Conferences and Book Fair
We are looking forward to connecting with all of our families over the next two weeks. We do strive for 100% family participation in our conferences, and thank you to everyone for putting us so close to achieving this goal.
Our annual book fair will be happening alongside our conferences this Thursday and next Thursday from 3pm- 7:45pm in the library. The book fair does help us to purchase more books for our library, and we greatly appreciate your support. Thank you to our wonderful team of parents who set up the book fair and will be running the event!
You can use this link to shop our school's online fair from October 2 to October 11. You can also use that link to setup an eWallet for your student.
Volunteers are needed for set up, sales, and tear down. Find available slots here to help make this fair possible. Questions, please reach out to Jess Kivisto at jghendricks@gmail.com.
Adams 12 Cross Country Meet
Our Coyote Ridge cross country team has been practicing and they are ready for the district cross country meet tomorrow @ Mary W. Carpenter Open Space from 12pm- 4pm. If you are looking for something fun to do tomorrow, come cheer on our Coyotes!
Coyote Times
The much anticipated first issue of the Coyote Times is available for viewing on our school’s website. The Coyote Times is a student-created newspaper that has been developed with the support of Ms. Garren and Ms. Kundrat. Great job, everyone!
