CRE Weekly Newsletter Sept. 5

Dear Coyote Ridge Community,

We’ve squeezed a lot into 3 days with students this week and we also had an inspiring and productive day of work on Tuesday, working on strengthening our innovative teaching practices and implementing a new literacy intervention program.

Choir @ The Rockies!

Our Coyote Ridge choir performed the national anthem at the Rockies game on Wednesday. It was a beautiful performance! We are so thankful for our music teacher, Stephanie Hariris, and her commitment to growing the musical talents of our CRE students. Bravo!

New name for our CRE mascot…

Our PTO graciously purchased us a new Coyote costume and facilitated a naming contest for our students. After all the votes were tallied, “Paws” was introduced on the announcements this week. Welcome to our new mascot! We are happy to have you and happy retirement to Cody, our old mascot!

Molina

Our therapy dog, Molina, was back this week to start a new school year. Molina joins us on Thursdays to support students in a variety of ways and brings so much joy with her. Welcome back, Molina!

Parent/Principal/PTO connect meeting on Tuesday

I hope to see you at our Parent/Principal/PRO connect meeting on Tuesday @ 8am, right here at CRE. Directly after our meeting, Ms. Young and Ms. Shannon will host a volunteer training, we hope you can join us! Ms. Shannon will talk about some changes to the makerspace and how you can best support our students when volunteering in this space.

Have a great weekend!

In partnership,

Carolyn Webb, Coyote Ridge Principal
