May Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians -

It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the school year. There is a lot going on during the month of May including our whole school carnival, field day and end of year picnic. These events are a fun way for everyone to gather and appreciate our incredible school community.

As we close out the year, we have a lot to celebrate including impressive growth scores for students in both literacy and math. This year teachers had a big lift with the implementation of the new Benchmark reading resource but we are seeing the positive results of their hard work and the work of our students.

We also would like to thank those staff members who supported students this year but have decided to retire or move on including Mrs. Loeffler, Mr. Ruchard, Mrs. May and Mr. Varela. We appreciate them and thank them for their service and dedication.

I personally would also like to thank the parents of our students for a successful year. I know I have said it many times before, but we are fortunate to have parents and guardians who believe in partnering with us in the education and social emotional development of our children. Because of our partnership, we can see firsthand how students grow and thrive at Coyote Ridge Elementary. We look forward to ending the year on a positive note and will be seeing everyone at the start of the 2023-2024 school year. On that note, best wishes to our 5th grade students as they celebrate the culmination of their elementary years and take the big step on to middle school.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mike
