October Newsletter 2023

Dear Parents and Guardians -

It is hard to believe that we are entering the eighth week of school and that students are already talking about Halloween. With parent/teacher conferences taking place during the first two weeks of October, we are eager to share student assessment results with parents and outline academic goals for the school year. Thank you for making these meetings a priority and for the support you provide to teachers to help assure your child is making the appropriate amount of growth both socially and academically over the weeks and months to come.

Thank you as well to all the families who took part in the fall fundraiser. We have already allocated some of the funds raised to purchase new furniture for the art room which is something that will benefit all students at our school. We also are in the process of scheduling a resident artist to paint a mural in the library with help from students. As always, we appreciate all the PTO does for our school to make it such an amazing learning environment for all.

Recently, we took part in the Broomfield parade. It was wonderful to see everyone come out to support our school. I also appreciate how many new families showed up to join us. Have to love our school spirit!

On that note, please plan to attend our big Falloween celebration on October 27th - always a fun event that includes a trunk or treat, food, and games. Falloween is a terrific way for us to come together as a community and appreciate the amazing sense of community we share at Coyote Ridge Elementary.

Happy Fall!

Dr. Mike
