Artist gives Coyote Ridge a new mural in library
- Focus on Students
With the financial support of PTO, we had an artist in residence complete a mural project in our school library. This project involved a design committee with members of our school and approval from the district operations department.
The artist, Bobby Magee Lopez, came up with the design based on suggestions from the committee which is focused on reading, our school community, and mascot.
Our school motto is Run with the P.A.C.K. (Perseverance, Accountability, Courage and Kindness) which are the key components of our positive behavior support system. A slight spin on this motto resulted in Read with the P.A.C.K. displayed on the wall and an exceptional completed art project.
Students at Coyote Ridge enjoyed watching this project progress and they were eager to talk with the artist and learn more about his work.
This mural will be a centerpiece in our library and something that everyone can enjoy for many years to come.
