Melissa Murphy is very proud to be a member of the amazing Coyote Ridge community as a 4th grade teacher! As an elementary teacher beginning in 2005, Mrs. Murphy has enjoyed teaching every grade level from K through 5, except for 2nd. Out of them all, 4th grade is Mrs. Murphy's all time favorite grade! In addition to a BSED in Elementary Education, Melissa also has her Master’s degree in Language and Literacy with a Reading Specialist licensure. When she's not working with her 4th graders, she creates and facilitates online courses for other Colorado educators through CEA's COpilot professional development program.
Melissa and her husband, Matt, moved to Colorado from Pennsylvania eager for a new adventure in 2018. In 2020, they adopted 3 rescue puppies, and Melissa adores her time with them (as hectic as it may be). Besides teaching and pups, Melissa loves traveling, reading, painting, lazy days on the couch, long hikes, house plants and gardening. She is sincerely passionate about teaching students to become well rounded, empowered humans, and life long learners.
Mrs. Murphy wishes you all a wonderful 2021/22 school year! Go Coyotes!
